iteration of Apple’s phone has nothing new to offer; except the new 2.0
firmware which is also available to first gen users as a free upgrade.

Congratulations to the Mozilla corporation for officially breaking the
world record for most downloads in a 24 hour period! Firefox 3 looks
to be a major improvement in web browsing.

iPhone 3G

3giphonekeynoteshots17 That’s right! There’s a new phone in town and it bears a striking resemblance to it’s predecessor. Apple’s second generation iPhone was announced today(available July 11th). The only new features are 3rd generation download speeds(not available outside major metropolitan areas) and GPS. It is also thinner on the edges, has a full black plastic back, and the headphone isn’t recessed. The biggest news isn’t a feature but it’s price. Just $199 for the 8GB version. $299 for the 16BG. Apple has allowed wireless carriers to subsidize this iteration. This alone should drive sales and make this the new year of the iPhone.

Blu-Ray Players $100 off!

Wal-Mart will be offering a $100 gift card on every BluRay player purchase June 8th through the 14th. This even includes Sony’s Playstation 3. If that weren’t enough to bolster Blu-Ray, they will also be offering select Blu-Ray movies for $15. Now is a good time to “upgrade” to the newest High Def movies.
